Overview
The multidisciplinary four-year undergraduate program New Media Design BFA is the right choice for anyone interested in digital media. At the intersection of art, visual communication, design strategy, and user experience design, this program produces innovative creators of next gen digital media.
Program structure and curriculum
The curriculum and program standards are fully aligned with the U.S.-based New Media Design program from our parent university, Rochester Institute of Technology, allowing students to obtain both U.S. and European (Croatian) degrees.
Students can choose to combine their course requirements with courses from Global Business Management, Hospitality and Tourism Management, and Web and Mobile Computing. Furthermore, they will gain knowledge through experiential learning in the field of new media design through cooperative education of minimum of 400 hours.
Skills and Typical job titles
The program includes new media and design courses, general education courses, courses that cover basic knowledge in art, as well as computing. During their studies, students acquire sought-after soft skills, and knowledge in 2D and 4D design, 3D modeling, animation and motion graphics, user interface design (UI) and user experience design (UX), information design, drawing and design basics, and programming.
