Overview
The four-year American Web and Mobile Computing BS program prepares students for exciting and sought-after professions in the areas of programming, web and mobile application design and database modeling.
Program structure and curriculum
The curriculum and program standards are fully aligned with the U.S.-based Web and Mobile Computing program, allowing students to obtain both U.S. and Croatian degrees.
Students can choose to combine their course requirements to obtain a minor in Anthropology / Sociology, and Hospitality Management (Dubrovnik campus) or Business Administration, and Psychology (Zagreb campus). Available concentrations include: Mobile Application Development, and Web Application Development.
The program focuses on practical knowledge and students’ preparation for the IT related jobs of today and the future. Students in the program will complete a minimum of 800 hours of co-op or internships in the chosen field of study.
Skills and Typical job titles
During their studies, students develop skills in computer programming, software development, mobile app and web development and learn how to integrate the back-end code with the front-end user experience across several languages and platforms. A wide variety of class assignments and laboratory exercises provide students with the practical knowledge of working in MS Windows, Linux and Mac OS X environments. Typical careers of our Web and Mobile alumni include: Android Developer, Back-end Developer, CTO, Development Team Lead, Front-end Developer, Full Stack Developer, Graphic & Web Designer, iOS Developer, IT Security Specialist, Java Developer, Program Engineer, QA Specialist, System Administrator, and Web Content Manager.
